Please help us by donating blood at our blood drive on December 29, or signing up for the Be The Match marrow donor registry!
Kyle Kollar turned 18 in May and is a recent graduate of Taft High School. He attended Notre Dame for Boys for three years, and graduated from St. Tarcissus in 2014. His hope is to become a pilot, and he is currently a dog walker. He loves animals and is a fantastic uncle, brother, and son.
Kyle was admitted to Lutheran General Hospital in October with headaches and a low blood count. He was quickly diagnosed with AML Leukemia. Since then, his family has submitted swab testing through Be The Match and unfortunately no one is a close enough match to be his donor.
He hasn't lost his positive attitude, and he is working on setting up a flight simulator in his hospital room so he can practice for pilot school between his rounds of chemotherapy.
Please consider signing up for the Be The Match marrow donor registry or giving blood at our blood drive. You could save Kyle's life or the life of another!
